Just sharing some thoughts on what it's like to be a condo buyer today. I shared that it's become a truly challenging time to buy a detached home in Calgary with properties selling in a few days... with competing offers... AT or even OVER asking price...
On the flip side other products like apartments are still leaning in favor for buyers with many options and low prices.
The general feeling is that most inner city condos will no longer be a place people will want to live because of COVID-19. Maybe I'm biased (I live in a condo downtown), I think there will always be people like me who like living close to stores, restaurants and the busyness of it all.
The condo market is still declining - Are we getting close to the bottom? That's an answer no one has - What I do know is if you've always wanted to live in a condo downtown there's no better time than now to do just that!
